RANGERS LOSE TO ORIOLES AGAIN 7-0

The Rangers were never in this game as Holland struggled on the mound and the Ranger bats stayed cold. Without Young and Hamilton, this is the time for some other players to step up and pick up the offense for the team in their playoff push.

- Holland struggles in his 3rd straight start. Rookie left-hander Derek Holland allowed three runs and was then replaced by Dustin Nippert with the bases loaded an one out in the fourth inning. Holland, it appears, didn't care for Joe West's strike zone. It also appears that Holland might be running out of gas.

- The Rangers waved the white flag in the seventh, as Marlon Byrd and Ian Kinsler were replaced by Craig Gentry and Esteban German. For Gentry, it was his major-league debut.

Unfortunately both the Angels and Red Sox win today, so the Rangers continue to drop in both standings:

AL WEST
Angels --
Rangers 5.5

AL WILD CARD
Red Sox --
Rangers 3.0
