The Rangers got an early lead and the pitched a shutout for a 3-0 victory against the Twins. This evens the series to 1-1 with the final game tomorrow before the Rangers head back home. Here's the highlights:
- The Rangers strike first as Josh Hamilton's double and Ian Kinsler's single helped score 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Nice way to start the game after last night's quiet offense.
- Scott Feldman pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings to maintain the shutout. Neftali Feliz and CJ Wilson held on in relief, and Fransicso struck out the side in the 9th to secure the win.
- Pudge continues to contribute since joining the team with a solo home run in the 9th. There was just enough offense to get the job done tonight, but I am still hopeful that our bats will go crazy this last month of the season to push us into the postseason...keep your fingers crossed!
Red Sox win tonight, but the Angels fall to the A's so the standings are;
AL WEST
Angels --
Rangers 4.0
AL WILD CARD
Red Sox --
Rangers 2.5
